These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Cat Aquarium website (the "Site") and any purchases made through the Site. By accessing the Site, browsing products, or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

1) Who we are
"Cat Aquarium," "we," "us," or "our" refers to the business operating the Site and selling products under the Cat Aquarium brand. References to "you" or "your" mean the person using the Site and/or placing an order.
2) Eligibility and account responsibilities
You must be able to form a legally binding contract in your jurisdiction to place an order. If you use the Site on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
The Site may allow features that rely on your device or browser storage (for example, saving your cart). You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your own devices and email accounts used for ordering and communication.
3) Changes to the Site and Terms
We may update the Site and these Terms from time to time. Changes may be made to reflect updates to our products, business practices, or legal requirements. The latest Terms will be posted on this page. Your continued use of the Site after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms to the extent permitted by law.
4) Products and product information
We try to describe and display our products as accurately as possible, including pricing, photos, specifications, and availability. However, we do not guarantee that all content is error-free, complete, or current at all times. Product images may be illustrative; colors and appearance can vary depending on lighting, screens, and photography.
If we discover an error in product information (including pricing), we may correct it. If an error affects an order you placed, we may contact you with options, which may include confirming the corrected details or canceling and refunding the order.
5) Orders, acceptance, and cancellations
When you place an order, you are making an offer to purchase the selected product(s). We may accept or decline the order for any reason permitted by law, including suspected fraud, inventory limitations, or errors in listing information.
Order confirmation messages acknowledge receipt of your order request; they do not necessarily mean the order has been accepted. An order is generally considered accepted when it is processed for fulfillment and/or shipped.
If you need to cancel, contact us as soon as possible at contact@cataquariums.com. If the order has not shipped, we may be able to cancel and refund it. If it has shipped, the request will be handled under our returns process once delivered, as described in our Returns & Refunds policy.
6) Pricing, taxes, and promotions
Prices are shown on the Site and may change at any time. We may offer promotions, coupon codes, or limited-time discounts. Promotions may have eligibility rules and may be modified or ended at any time. Unless required by law, promotions cannot typically be applied retroactively to past orders.
Where applicable, taxes may be added at checkout depending on your location and local requirements. You are responsible for paying any applicable taxes, duties, or import fees unless stated otherwise at checkout.
7) Payment
By submitting payment details, you represent that you are authorized to use the payment method. Payment processing may be handled by third-party providers. We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers. Your payment provider’s terms and privacy practices may apply in addition to these Terms.
If a payment is declined or flagged for review by a processor or fraud-prevention tool, we may pause, cancel, or request additional verification before fulfilling the order.
8) Shipping, delivery, and risk of loss
We ship to the addresses you provide during checkout. You are responsible for ensuring your shipping details are accurate. If you provide an incorrect address and the shipment cannot be delivered or is returned, additional fees or delays may apply.
Delivery estimates are estimates only and are not guarantees. Shipping timelines can vary due to carrier delays, customs processing, weather events, high-volume seasons, or other factors outside our control.
Risk of loss and title generally pass to you upon delivery to the carrier or upon delivery to you, depending on what is required by applicable law. If you experience a delivery issue, contact us and we will work with you to investigate with the carrier.
9) Returns, refunds, and replacements
Returns and refunds are handled according to our Returns & Refunds policy. That policy is incorporated into these Terms by reference. If there is a conflict between these Terms and the Returns & Refunds policy, these Terms control unless the policy explicitly states otherwise.
10) Warranty and disclaimers
Some products may include specific warranty terms or guidance. Unless otherwise stated, the Site and products are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the fullest extent permitted by law.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so some of the above may not apply to you.
11) Pet safety and proper use
Our products are designed for household use with pets. You are responsible for safe setup, placement, and supervision appropriate for your home and your cat’s behavior. Always follow setup and care instructions. Do not modify the product in a way that could create a hazard. If you have concerns about your cat’s safety or health, consult a veterinarian.
12) Intellectual property
All content on the Site—including text, images, videos, product designs, graphics, logos, and code—is owned by Cat Aquarium or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may view and use the Site for personal, non-commercial purposes related to shopping and ordering. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, publicly display, or create derivative works from Site content without our prior written permission.
13) User conduct
You agree not to misuse the Site. This includes, without limitation:
- Attempting unauthorized access to the Site, systems, or accounts.
- Interfering with Site performance, introducing malware, or attempting to disrupt service.
- Scraping the Site excessively, using automated tools in a way that harms performance, or attempting to reverse engineer the Site.
- Using the Site for unlawful, deceptive, or abusive purposes.
We may suspend or block access to the Site if we believe conduct violates these Terms or creates security risks.
14) Third-party services and links
The Site may link to third-party websites or services (for example, shipping trackers). We do not control and are not responsible for third-party services, content, or practices. Your use of third-party services may be subject to their terms and policies.
15) Reviews, feedback, and submissions
If you provide feedback, suggestions, or other submissions to us (for example, via email), you grant us the right to use that feedback to improve our products and services without restriction or compensation, unless prohibited by law. Do not submit confidential or proprietary information you do not have the right to share.
16) Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cat Aquarium will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising from or related to your use of the Site or your purchase or use of products.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms, the Site, or any products will not exceed the amount you paid for the product(s) giving rise to the claim.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.
17) Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Cat Aquarium and its owners, employees, contractors, and agents from and against claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from or related to your misuse of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.
18) Dispute resolution
If you have a concern, please contact us first at contact@cataquariums.com and we will try to resolve it quickly and fairly. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, the remaining sections of this clause describe how disputes may be handled.
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to bring claims in your local courts or to access consumer dispute mechanisms. Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit any non-waivable consumer rights.
18.1 Chargebacks and payment disputes
If you believe there is a billing error, please contact us before initiating a chargeback so we can try to resolve the issue promptly. Chargebacks may delay resolution and may require additional documentation. We reserve the right to provide order and delivery information to payment networks and processors to respond to disputes.
18.2 Limitation on time to bring claims
To the extent permitted by law, any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Site must be brought within one (1) year after the claim arises. This limitation does not apply where prohibited by law.
19) Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to where the business is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise. If you are a consumer, you may also benefit from mandatory protections of the law of the country in which you reside.
20) Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
21) Assignment
You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms as part of a business transfer (for example, a merger or sale of assets) to the extent permitted by law.
21.1 Force majeure
We are not responsible for delays or failures to perform caused by events outside our reasonable control, including natural disasters, severe weather, carrier disruptions, customs delays, labor disputes, supply chain interruptions, internet outages, acts of government, and other events commonly described as force majeure.
21.2 Electronic communications
By using the Site and contacting us electronically, you consent to receive communications from us electronically (for example, by email or through notices posted on the Site). You agree that electronic communications satisfy any legal requirement that communications be in writing, to the extent permitted by law.
21.3 Export, sanctions, and compliance
You agree not to use or purchase products from the Site in violation of applicable export laws, sanctions, or regulations. We may restrict sales or shipping to certain destinations where required by law or where shipping is not available.
21.4 No waiver
If we do not enforce a provision of these Terms, that does not mean we waive our right to enforce it later. Any waiver must be in writing to be effective.
22) Entire agreement
These Terms, together with any policies referenced (including Returns & Refunds and our Privacy Policy), form the entire agreement between you and Cat Aquarium regarding your use of the Site and purchases from us.
